What does your business do?

We are developing public transport in Estonia, which people want to travel on: we are building and managing railways, driving regular buses, and in cooperation with public transport centers, ministries, and other partners, we are developing the sector to be more digitally capable and environmentally friendly. By strengthening Estonia’s defense capability, we will strengthen local know-how and infrastructure for the repair, reconstruction, and assembly of even the most difficult defense equipment. We will introduce Estonia as a travel destination and help Estonians find an interesting travel destination abroad.

What motivated you to join GreenDice?

It is important to note that in today’s consumer society, there is an opportunity to contribute to ensuring that products are used for their intended purpose at the end of their life cycle and that they are handled in an environmentally friendly manner.

Have you implemented green and circular policies in your business and how?

We map out the main activities in our field where we can make the greatest contribution to increasing sustainability and focus on them. In the transport sector, we can make the greatest contribution by driving as energy-efficiently as possible, and we have preferred biogas on buses for many years. We are currently looking at the opportunity to switch to hydrogen on both buses and trains. We opened the first five solar parks on the roofs of our hotel and technology parks. We deal with smaller projects such as sorting, recycling, maintaining an office garden, etc. on an ongoing basis.

Why is it important for you to contribute to the development of Estonia and the rest of society?

We like to do the right things and do those things right.
