What does your company do and what value do you create today?
OÜ Lasita Maja was founded in Tartu in 1998. Year by year, the company has grown, having developed into one of the largest producers of wooden houses in Europe. Since 2019, Lasita Maja belongs to Outdoor Life Group. Lasita Maja is a company that exports wooden garden and summer houses, producing nearly 50,000 product units and 600 different types of wooden garden houses per year.
What motivated you to join GreenDice?
The goal for the entire Group strategist is to reduce the CO2 footprint, and thanks to your introduction, this is an opportunity for our company to reduce the IT CO2 footprint.
Have you implemented green and circular economy principles in the company and how?
With our strategic goals, we strive to take daily steps for the green revolution. Today, for example, we have implemented packaging handling, and a water purification system (paint vs. cleaning system), and we have become paperless in the warehouse system. We also try to move towards the ISO environmental management system with our daily activities. The continuous use of resources is boosted by the EAS development program, where development is continued to make time resources more cost-effective and efficient in production. i.e. within production, finding the right material in the right place the first time, significantly reducing the time spent on searching, idle trips, etc. It is also important to continue active work in the development of customer relations, improving the customer support service through the development of a new online environment, while reducing the use of paper, and at the same time improving the use of human resources in the company.
Why is it important for you to contribute primarily to the development of Estonia and other societies?
We believe that being a large company and locating our production in Estonia, in Tartu County, we can show that we care about what is happening in society, hoping to become an example ourselves and with the desire to improve our own sustainable behavior.
