What does your company do, and what is a factory-built building?

The main activity of Timbeco is the design, production, and erection of buildings made of wooden elements and room modules. We have proven ourselves to our customers and partners both in Europe and Japan. We believe that building construction will increasingly move from construction sites to factories, as it provides a controlled result, a safer working environment, and a work schedule independent of weather conditions. Thanks to this, factory buildings are of higher quality, which is proven by a significantly higher level of certification compared to buildings erected on the construction site.

How do you apply sustainability principles when using IT equipment?

Our company’s mission is to create a higher quality of life in an environmentally friendly way. With our services and products, we want to offer sustainable solutions that benefit customers, home buyers, the surrounding environment and the Timbeco team. We believe that a mindset based on sustainability must be integrated into all the company’s activities and also into the work tools. Our principle has been that we only use tools that have a long life and can be recycled later. We have also implemented used IT equipment in some production sections to keep the footprint as small as possible and to give new life to already used equipment.

Why did you want to join GreenDice?

In our opinion, it is important that we can monitor the life of the equipment and give it a new purpose of use. Joining GreenDice was a logical step for us, and hopefully, we can thereby extend the life of the equipment and contribute to the development of a better and more informed consumer culture of computer technology.
