Residents of Tapa Kodu and Narva-Jõesuu Kindergarden Karikakar received modern IT equipment

The GreenDice´ team undertook a trip to Ida-Virumaa to provide a social contribution to the care services of Tapa and the Karikakar kindergarten in Narva-Jõesuu together with their partner companies Gunvor Services, Maru Ehitus, CGI and Luminec.

Tapa Kodu is home to 60 very special residents who need 24/7 special care, 20 of whom also have profound compound disabilities. In the complex consisting of six houses, each resident has their own room, and they spend time together in the kitchen-living room or in the yard. Their days are decorated with daily household chores, and the most important holidays are also celebrated together. Tapa Kodu is a welfare service where people who find it difficult to manage their daily activities on their own but who want to do as much as possible on their own are welcome.

There were no proper IT facilities in the welfare services, although there were many people who could and would like to use the equipment. GreenDice, together with good partner companies, contributed with three desktop computers. One resident of Tapa Kodu, who was more IT-conscious but disabled, got a computer for personal use and her joy was indescribable! It was the happiest day of her life.

Computers were maintained by software company Concise through repair café event.

There are four groups in the Karikakar kindergarten in Narva-Jõesuu, but the teachers did not have proper IT equipment to promote their studies. With the support of GreenDice, there are now 6 laptops in the kindergarten for digital learning and everyday use.

As a technical partner, GreenDice will maintain the equipment and recycle it after the end of its useful life.
